Blog

If you are looking for a type of fence that will work for all your needs and look great at the same time, then learn more about stone fences and the many options they bring with them. Stone fences can do so many things for your home, and they can be some of the nicest-looking fences. Here is more information on stone fences:

Stone fences are great for security-related needs

One of the things many people are looking for when they begin researching fences for their homes is better security. If you want to protect your property with a fence, then a stone one can help. Stone fences can be tall, making it hard for someone to see over them, as well as get over them. Many areas have regulations on how tall residential fences can be, but this height can be around 8 feet in some areas, and that is a very good height for a secure fence.

Stone fences can be good at creating a more comfortable yard

Stone fences can help offer you some insulation for your yard. This can help to keep out things like wind and noise that can hinder your ability to truly enjoy the yard when you would rather be outside.

Stone fences can offer so many looks

You can go with a fence that's made up mostly of stone, aside from the gate, which needs to be a different material. Or, you can mix things up in any number of ways. This means you can have a fence that has the features you want, even if those features are different from what is the norm.

Stone and wrought iron

Having a stone and wrought iron fence built can be a fantastic idea. The stone can act as a frame for wrought iron panels that get installed between the stone pillars. Wrought iron fencing can even be installed inside round spaces built into the stone, to offer a unique design. You can have a lot of fun designing a fence like this.

Stone and wood

Stone and wood will also look good together when it comes to a residential fence. You can have fence panels installed between stone pillars. Or, you can have a fence installed that is stone all along the bottom and when it comes to the pillars, then has wood along the upper portion of the fence.

Stone and vinyl

Vinyl can look like wood, but it can also offer some additional benefits you may prefer. Especially when you have already chosen a fencing material as durable and long-lasting as stone. Vinyl is waterproof, pest-resistant, fade-resistant, and designed to last for many years.

Fence Contractors, Privacy, and You

I've found that one of the perks of being a homeowner is the privacy that your own home provides. However, sometimes there can be a lack of privacy if you are in your yard and it is unfenced. When we bought our home, there was not a fence. One night, after the neighbors dog wandered through our barbecue one time too many, I decided that it was time to look up a fence contractor. We soon found a great price on a fence with a fantastic fence contractor. Now we can keep our privacy while still feeling open towards the neighbors.
