At least one dog can be found in more than 43 million households across the United States. Many of those households enjoy taking their pooch on vacation with them, so it makes sense to ensure that your vacation home rental is dog-friendly. In fact, you can expect to increase your rental profits by giving your guests the opportunity to visit with their dogs.
It's a good idea to create a set of pet owner rules to follow that will help ensure that your vacation rental doesn't acquire unnecessary damage, but it's also important to create a safe yard for pooches to spend time in so they'll be less likely to be kept inside during their stay. Here's how to create a dog-friendly fenced yard for your vacation rental:
Install a Vinyl Border
The most important part of any dog yard is a safe and sturdy barrier, so consider creating a barrier for visiting dogs using vinyl. Vinyl fencing is an excellent option because it's versatile, cost effective, non-toxic for pooches, and holds up well to extreme weather. It also happens to be almost five times stronger than wood fencing, which means that dogs should not be able to chew through it to escape. Vinyl fence options include various colors and designs which should make it easy to create a yard that complements your property's overall style.
Establish a Clean-up Corner
It's important to make sure that the dog yard stays clean and sanitary during guest visits, so it's easy to maintain between renters. A great way to make clean-up easy for guests is to place a garbage can, a pooper scooper, and a collection of small bags in the corner of the yard where they're easily accessible. Guests can then simply clean up after their dogs as they make a mess, so feces are not left on the ground too long and chewed up toys or other garbage isn't left behind.
Plant Some Dog-Friendly Plants
Make the dog yard comfortable and appealing to visiting pooches by planting a few custom plants within it. The extra foliage will provide dogs with some shade and fun. Consider planting one or more of the following options:
With the help of these tips and tricks, it should be easy to create an attractive dog yard for your vacation rental guests and their furry family members to enjoy. Check out this link for additional info.Share

I've found that one of the perks of being a homeowner is the privacy that your own home provides. However, sometimes there can be a lack of privacy if you are in your yard and it is unfenced. When we bought our home, there was not a fence. One night, after the neighbors dog wandered through our barbecue one time too many, I decided that it was time to look up a fence contractor. We soon found a great price on a fence with a fantastic fence contractor. Now we can keep our privacy while still feeling open towards the neighbors.
